PGRS Today

Today, Pipers Gap Rescue operates with:

  • Four Advanced Life Support ambulances
  • One Medium Duty Rescue/ALS First Response truck
  • One Light Duty Rescue/ALS First Response truck
  • One ALS First Response Truck
  • Two Rescue ATVs.

We provide Emergency Medical Care at the ALS/Paramedic level. All Squad members are certified in Emergency Vehicle Operations, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and as an Emergency Medical Technician at a minimum. The Squad currently operates out of three stations. Station 1, now more of an outpost station, but still known as Station 1, is currently under construction and will be a 2-bay building located on Elk Horn Rd right beside our original station. Station 2, which has become the main crew hall, as populations and call volume has shifted, consisting of a three-bay pull through garage, classroom, and crew quarters, is located at 4190 Glendale Rd. Station 3, is actually Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department’s Station 2, where Pipers Gap stages some of our apparatus, on Hangar Rd. The rescue squad is dispatched from Twin County E911 Central Communications (C-Comm).

Anyone that needs help may dial 911 for the rescue squad.
